Medical Peels

At Your Skin we use peels that are safe and effective. A test patch is applied to an area of the skin at the consultation to ensure your skin doesn’t have a sensitivity or allergy to the products used. The peels may involve multiple layers depending on the skin condition we are treating with lactic, kojic, salicylic, mandelic, glycolic and ascorbic acid being common ingredients.

How do skin peels work?

A skin peel is designed to create an even, controlled shedding of the outer layers of damaged and dead skin cells. Your Skin uses peels that are mild and yet very effective. The fresher skin that appears is more consistent in colour and smoother in texture. The chemical peels assist in the production of new, healthier cells. The peels can be a gentle way to refresh the skin, tighten pores and lighten pigmentation. The peels are a no downtime treatment and mineral makeup can be applied afterwards.

How many treatments are required?

A course of 4-6 treatments is often recommended to achieve the best results.
